FIRST MEN’S FASHION WEEK IN PAKISTAN (PREVIEW SHOW)


The  encouraging and happy news for the fashion loving men’s in Pakistan came on 14th March 2013 at the launch and preview shows for the inaugural of the MEN’S FASHION WEEK. The first ever fashion week was dedicated to celebrating men’s apparel in Pakistan. This Fashion Week joins Pakistan with Paris, London and Shanghai. Style is not just about transient trends or rebellion, it is infact individualistic and often, even timeless.


The bi-annual event featured runway shows, press conferences, live installations and pop-up showrooms allowing men’s wear designers to showcase their collections to buyers, media, press, fashion bloggers, fashion stylists socialites and style icons.

It was a glamorous evening where the show was produced by MANSOOR VOHRA event management by the team at CREATECH, styled by MUNEER MOHAMMED, choreography by MOIZ  KAZMI and the event’s PR and media was handled by TEHMINA KHALED and her team at TAKE II .
This preview has given chance to come forward to the leading names in men’s wear. The top designers,emerging talent, fashion students, high street retailers, boutique businesses and online retailers will be benifited by such shows.

The following designer presented their collections:

MUNIB NAWAZ: presents his collection BLACK FRIDAY comprises of black formals paired with lowers.

SAMEER ALI: presents collection titled URBAN VOGUE garments done in modern techniques in various materials and fabrics-leather, silks and cotton amongst others.
The brands presented their collection on event:
      
    KAMALIYAAT:   dresses are like poetry, each garments is a piece of art.

AKBAR & BABAR: retail menswear brand, range of casual and formal shirts, kameez shalwar, suitings, sherwanis and night wear. The brand is a tribute to the designer’s Punjabi roots, the brand has a likes of the legend Umar Sharif, Faysal Qureshi, Mani, Syed Noor and Waqar Zaka.
  
 DANIYAL: an online retailer  sells a fantastic collection of customized menswear. The brands deals in formal/casual shirts, suitings, casual jackets and sherwanis for groom. The brand designer, WALEED BILWANI says” we stitch silver lining for you.”

 TAYYAB BOMAL:  this emerging brand introduced the collection titled, NAMALOOM AFRAAD a multi-hued ties and a college of shalwar kameez for the menswear, the collection is for the common men.
