The Pakistan Advertisers Society, organized to celebrate the best in advertising. The 4th PAS Awards function at the EXPO CENTER KARACHI on Friday the 16th May 2014.
The PAS AWARDS were designed to recognize individuals and organizations for their outstanding contribution to the success of the Pakistan Advertiser Society. The PAS Chairman SAHBEEH A. IKRAM and ALY MUSTANSIR during the opening speeches said “that there has been significant increase in the number of advertisers agencies-which has almost doubled this year-leading to strong, relevant yet diverse content”.
The chairman of the jury and former information minister JAVED JABBAR reflected on his role as chairman of the jury by underlying the devotion to detail and conceptual element and presentation along with the highest values of integrity and professionalism. On the event he said “Advertising is a facet of inherent optimism and it signals some of the best and brightest talent Pakistan has to offer. At the same time, it promotes values and ethics that are so dear to all of us.”
This year the agencies and brands across Pakistan were totaling around 200 entries in the various categories. Awards had been given out in a total of 32 categories, with two special awards “CAMPAIGN OF THE YEAR” and “BEST LOCAL CAMPAIGN”.
The show was hosted by actor and radio presenter KHALID MALIK, he actively entertain the audience involving everyone with his long lasting energy it all started after the glamorous red carpet. The event was charged with the star studded performances by ARIF LOHAR, HUMAIMA MALLIK, SAJJAD ALI, MATHIRA, ADIL OMER, & ALI GUL PIR, ASIM AZHAR, and SARA LOREN.
The event also featured a glittering line of Award presentation for both the advertising and the entertainment industry. The JWT Pakistan bagged highest 6 awards/trophies in different categories. It includes NOKIA, VASELINE, SUNSILK, ORIENT ELECTRONICS, OLPHERS, and SHELL RIMULA.
The awards presenters were. FAISAL NIAZI, SARWAT GILLANI, RUBY HAIDER, HASAN SOOMRO, SHARMILA FAROOQI, MOAMMAR RANA, AFTAB TAPAL NAZNEEN TARIQ, FAHIM ABBAS, MASOOD HASHMI, RUBYA CHAUDRY, QAZI ASAD ABID, ANGIE MARSHALL, SHAKEEL, SHAZIA NAZ, YOUSUF BAIG MIRZA, MEHWISH HAYAT, SARFARAZ REHMAN, URWA, MOHAMMAD MALIK, SADAF QAMAR, DR MOHAMMAD ALI JAWAD, ANGELINE MALIK, SEMYNE KHAN, RIZWAN JAFFERY, FAROOQ SHEIKH, ZARA TAREEN, BAHUDDIN KHAN, and MATHIRA.
The awards were presented by ZONG, in association with service and co-sponsored by English Biscuit Manufacturers, Indus Motors, Asian Consumer Care (Dabur) & olper’s Lassi special categories awards were sponsored by Bank Alfalah and APNS & PBA respectively. The award presentation was followed by a lavish “DINNER” it was hosted by Nationals Foods Limited, while Pepsi was the sponsor for the cocktail lounge. This was the smoothest called show we had after a long time. It was a pleasure to be there at the show.
The event was managed by IRIS EVENT ARTISTRY. PR handled by SAMRA MUSLIM. MOIZ KAZMI and team celebrity, the glamorous evening was attended by top notch designers, celebrities from corporate side, film artists, media, social media & socialites
