CIMA- PRESIDENT’S DINNER (CHARTERED INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT ACCOUNT)

On the 25th of January 2013 there was a event hosted by Chartered Institute of Management Account (CIMA President’s Dinner) at Marriot Hotel Karachi. The Global President of Chartered Institute of Management Accounts Mr Gulzari Lal Babber while speaking at the occasion said “Pakistan has produced a large number of very professional management accountant who are rendering services in the corporate sector all over the world.”



CIMA is a United Kingdom based professional body it is the world’s largest and leading body of management accounts, which offers an internationally recognized and the most relevant finance qualification for business.

CHARTERED INSTIUTE OF MANAGEMENT ACCOUNT in 2011 entered into joint venture with the AICPA to launch a global management accounting designation CGMA (Charted Global Management Accountant.)CIMA also offers certificate in Islamic finance (Cert IF) and later it was upgraded to a Diploma and renamed CIMA Diploma in Islamic Finance. The Diploma holders would be allowed to use the letters CDIF after their name.

The CIMA President’s Dinner was graced and attended by the honorable guests. A short presentation on “Transformation of Finance Function” was given by Dr Arul Sivagananathan, the Managing Director of Rayleys Business Solutions International (PVT) Ltd of Sri Lanka. Dr Bradley Emerson of CIMA also spoke on the occasion.
